FOOLISH MORTALS: cr chart
Sally
I admit her appearance was frightening at first, but actually she seems very sweet,
and seems to go out of her way to keep everyone's mood light and happy. Someday I must learn more about her.
Update: Apparently the place she comes from is full of the undead, and she was sewn together by an inventor!
Marnie Piper
A very sweet young girl who comes from a time when women could wear such things as pants without being seen as odd or distracted. She even encouraged me to try wearing them myself!
Update: She seems to be as high-spirited as they come, which can be good and bad. I feel for her, though, losing a relative. I know how hard it can be to lose someone you love...
Chip
A sweet little chipmunkāa talking chipmunk! He comforted me while I mourned the Beast's death. It seems I'm destined to meet people named Chip everywhere I go...
Update: A very brave and kind person. He was the one who discovered Dipper in the pool, and I can't help but feel he must have been very affected by it.
Joshua Kiryu
He seems to have a very dry sense of humor...and perhaps a bit morbid. Still, he has some interesting insights. And perhaps a level head, which might be good to have around. In any event, he seems like a nice boy.
Update: I think he has something of a mouth.
Cornelia Hale
A girl of my age who seems to know things about magic like the kind I've seen. I don't know any of the details, but our conversations so far have been interesting. She's proven to make for very nice company. It's not often I have anything in common with other girls my age.
Update: Cornelia has proven to be a fast and fierce friend. She is the only one I've told about what happened that night at the castle, and she said she had felt the same loss before.
Oswald
A talking rabbit! How curious! He seems very sweet, and was very nice to talk to, though he did mention some rather sad things about his past. I told him that I'd make sure nobody here forgot him. I can't quite shake the feeling that he's somehow familiar with more than he's letting on, though...
Thalia Grace
I think I rather like her sense of humor. She seems brave and bold...the kind of girl I always wished to have around back home. She makes me feel like less of a 'funny girl'.
Update: It seems as if I've made another friend in Thalia. She's so brave, it makes my head spin. She doesn't suffer any fools, either, which I admire greatly. She gave me the typewriting machine she received from the penny press, which I now treasure.
Virgil Hawkins
He seems like a nice boy; I haven't spoken with him enough to form any real opinion, but my impression so far is good. He helped keep things calm during Goofy's trial, which was good.
Merlin
An old man who seems wise, if a little distracted. He told me that he is a wizard, but that his magic is not strong enough here to help us out. He also seems a tiny bit stubborn,
though I was able to convince him that kindness is not wasted here.
Update: Merlin has come to a terrible and tragic end, one which might have been avoided if not for a rash decision. He was so kind to me...his presence will be missed so much among our number.
Amanda Lockhart
My table-mate at the Tip-Top Club. She appears to possess some knowledge of this place, as well as some sort of magic. I think I like her; she seems concerned greatly with finding the truth.
Professor Ratigan
He calls himself a mouse, but he's almost certainly a rat. Something of a gentleman,
certainly, and he claims to have knowledge of some intriguing inventions...
Update: The more I interact with him, the less I like him. He seems...lugubrious. And he says some very unpleasant things during trials.
Preston Northwest
A businessman or merchant of high class...I'm not certain exactly what it is he does,
as he claims several professions, but he seems to ascribe to a certain level of classism that I can't condone. It wouldn't hurt to keep him at an arm's length.
Update: A terrible and dishonorable man, who murdered a child for the sake of something as trivial as his own reputation. I don't miss his presence.
Sir Kylo Ren
A knight who wears a hood and a mask made of metal. I'm not sure what to make of him.
He seems to have manners, and is well-spoken, but he also has a habit of looming threateningly that's all too familiar. Interestingly enough, he also claims to come from the heavens, and live among the stars. He also helped me remove the awful trophy heads from my room, which was...kind.
Update: I cannot decide just what to think of him. He clearly has a temper, and a short fuse at that, but to me he has been nothing but courteous. Time will only tell.
Ursula
Half-woman, half-squid. Her manners are unctuous and vaguely threatening. I'm not certain I trust her, let alone like her...But so far, she's left me alone.
Tadashi Hamada
He told me of his home, where the buildings rise as many as a hundred stories. He seems kind, and quiet. It would be nice to learn a bit more about him. He seems to know some interesting things.
Update: Tadashi has been very kind and patient with all my questions. I like to think I can count him among my friends here.
Dipper Pines
A young boy who seems clever and adventurous. He tells me about the magic and mysteries he's encountered at home, and his family members who seem to share his interests. He's been very helpful in explaining all the new inventions around the hotel to me.
Update: He is gone. It was an accident, it seems...he drowned by accident in the pool.
I will miss him greatly. He was so young. He and Vanellope...they didn't deserve this.
Finnick
I made the mistake of assuming that just because he is small and dear-looking, that his personality would match...it certainly doesn't. He threatened to remove my ankles if I ever spoke to him like a child again. I won't be, not if I can help it.
Update: He is gone as well. He was punished by that awful Narrator for trying to escape this dreadful place. I can only hope he rests easily.
Reyna
It seems she comes from the same world as Thalia, and is a demigod as well. She's only sixteen, but she seems wise and patient beyond her years. I trust her, and admire her ability to keep calm under stress.
Goofy
A dog-man. He seems kind, if prone to japes. Has a strong fatherly instinct.
Update: It seems that fatherly instinct was his downfall; he assumed Merlin had murdered Dipper, and killed Merlin in kind. He's gone, now. I hope he can rest peacefully...
Donald
A talking duck. He is very difficult to understand, but so far he has been kind to me.
A friend of Goofy's, from what I can glean.
